Principal's Message

Wow! It’s hard to believe that February and March have zoomed by and we are already to the Easter break! In February we had a lot happening such as the Mardi Gras Dance, Black History Program, Mardi Gras Break, Student of the Month Luncheon, Band and Chorus Field Trip and Club Day. By the way, our Band made the highest possible score for their performance! Congratulations to Mrs. Miller and the BLMS Band.

In March, BLMS Faculty and Staff visited Chahta Ima Elementary for our Partnership Luncheon. We enjoyed a great meal, doorprizes and live “entertainment” by the CIE faculty. We thank the CIE PTA, Administration and Faculty and staff for their hospitality. During the week of the 16th, students participated in the 1st phase of testing. There will also be testing the week of April 13th and May 4th, so mark your calendars.

April and May will go quickly, so be sure to communicate to your child the importance of doing well in class and behaving so that we will have a fun end to the school year.

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”- Anne Bradstreet

PTSA President’s Message

It’s been another great month here at BLMS! We are proud to announce Mrs. Casnave as the BLMS PTA Educator of Distinction for this school year!   Mrs. Casnave was one of 10 teachers chosen by the State PTA to represent the state of Louisiana! Thank you Mrs. Casnave for all that you do for our students, PTA, and School!

The PTA will be selling a school memory book this year! All forms and payments must be received by the due date in order to be included in the order! There are 40 color pages and almost 900 pictures in the book!

Teacher Appreciation Week will be coming up in the next few weeks. Please be on the lookout for a flyer coming home!

If you have any questions or concerns, you may call or text me at 321-258-4419.
